Here at Pearl, we are not shy about displaying our prices, (see list below), or being upfront about the costs of a course of dental or facial aesthetic treatment, and are ALWAYS prepared to give you a breakdown of all costs involved in your treatment plan before you begin. In addition, we often offer special discounts on certain treatments for a period of time, and also reduce costs for multiple treatments in a single visit. In an increasingly cost conscious environment, we aim to be as competitive as possible, whilst still retaining the extremely high standards to which we work, and the high end materials and laboratories that we use to ensure maximum longevity from all of our work. We also offer a guarantee on almost every treatment that we undertake- proof that we aim for the highest standard of dental care achievable. We don’t believe that you can compromise on quality where dental care is concerned, and as such are not prepared to cut corners or standards just to reduce costs.

Many people seem to have the impression that Botox is only for the over 50's, and is only effective for well established lines. In fact the opposite is true, as Botox is far more useful as a preventative treatment then a corrective one, although it is obviously a highly effective correction treatment as well.

Small doses of the Botulinum Toxin injected into the facial muscles that create most of our facial lines can retain a natural appearance, whilst restricting the muscle movement sufficiently to minimise line development, thereby all but eliminating the formation of many of the facial lines that we incorrectly assume are solely due to age.

As the recession continues, and stress levels increase, we as dentists are seeing more and more patients complaining of chronic grinding or clenching of the teeth, often with associated complications such as headaches, cracked or broken teeth, or excessive tooth wear. Additionally, the overuse of the chewing muscles (the Masseters) leads to bulking up of these muscles, often leading to a square facial appearance. Most women consider a square jaw to be rather severe and masculine, and an oval shaped face is generally considered to be more feminine. This is known as masseter hypertrophy or more commonly, square jaw.

Injection of a muscle relaxant into the muscle can be used for facial contouring / sculpting, and by weakening the masseter muscle, can give a softer angle to the jaw.  This is a highly successful, non-surgical way to beautifully contour the lower face to create a slimmer, more feminine jaw, or to manage the detrimental effects of excessive tooth grinding.

Visible effects take place within 2-4 weeks, and full effect is seen in 2-3 months.  The effects of such muscle relaxing treatments usually last for 6-12 months, depending on the individual, and may be longer if 2 treatments are given. The treatment is quick, relatively painless, and has few adverse side effects, and costs in the region of €300- 350.
